Swimming chlorine-free in a pool with ozone
Do you want to swim chlorine-free? This is possible using ozone!
The use of ozone in (public) swimming pools is increasing. For a part because this redues the amount of chlorine that is needed. Another reason is the reduced risk of eye- and respiratory irritations. Especially people with respiratory issues profit from a chlorine-free swimming experience because it lessens the symptoms they would normally have during swimming.
It is permitted to completely replace the chlorine dose with an ozone installation/system. This creates a so called chlorine-free pool where ozone is used as a substitute for chlorine.
Using ozone in a public pool however, is only allowed when there’s an measurable amount of free chlorine present, this is regulated by law. While chlorine will still have to be dosed, it is much less than in pools without ozone. So, in public pools, it is not permitted to work chorine-free, however, the use of ozone still significantly decreases the amount of the risk of eye- and respiratory issues and chlorine used.
Using ozone in swimming pools requires thorough knowledge of both ozone and pool filtration. Tol Watertechniek delivers and intalls ozone systems (and filter systems) to treat pool water. Of course we can also advise and guide you through the process. Contact us for more information
