Ozone system for zoo (sea lions)
For a large sea lion basin of 2,400 m³, Tol Watertechniek supplied and installed a complete ozone system. In a zoo, optimal visibility is of great importance for visitors, while at the same time water quality and the welfare of the animals must be safeguarded. Ozone plays an essential role in this by keeping the water clear, clean, and hygienic.
The installed ozone system consists of three separate ozone generators, each with a capacity of 70 grams of ozone per hour. The produced ozone is efficiently injected into three protein skimmers, which were already part of the existing filtration system. This allowed the ozone system to be seamlessly integrated without major modifications to the existing installation. In addition to the ozone generators, Tol Watertechniek also supplied the oxygen generator including compressed air supply, which is necessary for stable and efficient ozone production.
The complete ozone system is equipped with a highly advanced and intelligent control system, allowing the ozone system to be monitored and operated remotely. Remote software updates are also possible, ensuring maximum flexibility, reliability, and minimal downtime.
