Ozone resistance of various materials<\/strong><\/p>

Ozone is a very aggressive gas, only few materials are ozone resistant. Besides that, it also matters whether it considers ozone in the gaseous phase or ozone dissolved in water. Below, you\u2019ll find a list with the ozone resistance of various materials. The table assumes the materials are subjected to high concentrations.<\/p>

In some materials this degradation is visible very quickly, for example in natural rubbers. Other materials are affected much more slowly by ozone, such as the embrittlement of certain plastics.<\/p>

Cracks, discoloration, hardening or even complete degradation of rubber, plastic or coatings are all examples of the effects of ozone.<\/p>
