There are a couple misconceptions about the maintenance of an ozone installation. We will try to inform you as best as possible on this page to prevent any unpleasant surprises. <\/p>\n

People are often under the impression that an ozone installation is nearly maintenance free like a UV lamp for example. A UV lamp has to be replaced once a year and that\u2019s about as interesting as it gets. An ozone generator however, needs more maintenance than that to ensure safety. The maintenance of an ozone installation can be divided in three groups. <\/p>\n

Often:<\/strong>
\n1. Cleaning the redoc electrode, this should be done every week up to every 4 weeks depending on the amount of pollution.<\/p>\n

Regular: <\/strong>
\n1. Checking and possibly changing the air dryer, it is very important that it functions well. It\u2019s important to change or dry the silica gel crystals often.
\n2. Checking the surplus ozone destroyer, check the destroyers air dryer and change or dry the silica gel crystals if needed. Also be sure to check whether the activated carbon is still dry. If its moist it should be changed.
\n3. Clean the ozone generators dust filter.<\/p>\n

Annual: <\/strong>
\n1. Cleaning the ozone cell and the generator itself.
\n2. Checking whether the tubing between the generator and reactor has to be replaced.
\n3. Checking whether the air stone(s) have to be replaced.<\/p>\n

Most of these things are very easy to do and don\u2019t take a lot of time but they are very important to keep your installation in great condition and to optimally use it. <\/p>\n

This doesn\u2019t only apply to our installations but to all ozone installations! <\/p>\n
